I regularly welcome students to my home, many of whom come from abroad for the day, or come for a series of lessons over a short period.
These private sessions allow the student to discuss issues in a quiet, relaxed and honest environment that is free from the external pressures and expectations usually associated with musical institutions and degree courses… we work on building the transformational attitudes that maximise creativity and develop long-term aims.
My students are often preparing for concerts, competitions, recordings, auditions and exams. They like to come for a short burst of preparatory sessions to get themselves focused and fine-tuned, sometimes even bringing their pianists with them (I have a beautiful Bechstein piano at home).

I usually block off a morning, afternoon or evening for lessons, which can be 1.5 to 2.5 hours, depending on the scope of the project we are working on.
Are you building towards a performance, recording, audition or competition? Are you a student, professional, amateur or a teacher looking to refresh your energy and establish new approaches to your playing and realising your ambitions?
“It is hard to remember things only with the brain (factually). Passion is the driving force.”
